FT BV Euryphaessa
The pride of the Federated Terran Commonwealth Navy, the massive Euryphaessa-class battlecarriers are the sole class of battleship-sized vessels of Terran construction. First envisioned in AR83 in the aftermath of the first Exarchy incursion, the Euryphaessa was designed as a counter to the Exarchy's Emperor-class Assault Carriers. Terran shipyards had no experience at constructing a warship of the scale required to fit the weapon systems and hangar facilities, so the Euryphaessa-class vessels were based off of the massive colony-haulers. Difficulties in repurposing civilian designs for front-line military use resulted in a number of innovative, but limiting compromises in power grid and armor arrangement, though the ships are still by far the most powerful Terran warships ever constructed.
