Teapot FN112
A section from a teapot was recovered from investigations at the Hafod-Morfa Copperworks, Swansea. The ceramic fragment was found in a clay deposit overlying several stone built chambers, possibly quenching pits, belonging to the Morfa Rolling Mill. Surviving elements of the teapot include part of the body, with an integral spout, and footring base. The front of the spout carries a stylised leaf design, hand-painted in green, and a green painted line outlines the rim of the spout.
