Description: The skull from which this replica is made is 2.5 million years old. Due to its blue-black color it is commonly referred to as the "Black Skull". On this replica, the darker areas are reconstructed portions of the skull, and the lighter areas are the original fossilized fragments.

Provenance Information: The skull was discovered by A. Walker in 1985 on the west shore of Lake Turkana in northern Kenya.
Condition: The replica appears to be in good condition with no major damage. Compared to the current online version of the cranium, it looks to be different in colour possible due to it being updated.
